To attain the Safehotels Executive Certificate award, hotels are required to comply with more than 220 global hotel security standard elements relating to hotel property safety and security walkthrough, process, training and organization, security and fire equipment, fire training and crisis management. Hotels need to have a full security team in place 24/7, share close liaison with local civil defence and law enforcement agencies, and conduct weekly checks and tests of fire and life safety systems.
